Milton I. Howard a Summerville native, is a graduate of South Carolina State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology Education. Following in his family’s legacy, Mr. Howard became an educator. He began his career in education teaching Pre-Engineering at Garrett Academy of Technology in North Charleston, South Carolina where he served in a variety of leadership roles (Mentor Teacher, SKILLUSA Advisor, NTHS Advisor and Senior Class Advisor). While teaching, Mr. Howard earned his Master of Education in Administration from Southern Wesleyan University. Shortly after obtaining his credentials in administration, Mr. Howard was named the Assistant Principal of Whale Branch Early College High School in Beaufort, South Carolina. During his tenure as an Assistant Principal, Mr. Howard served as the ADEPT Liaison, CATE Administrator, Athletic Administrator, and the school’s LEA for special education.
In his spare time Mr. Howard enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He believes in the power of a high-quality education and its ability to impact lives and open doors of opportunities for students. Mr. Howard looks forward to the opportunity to serve as the Principal of Calhoun County High School and build upon the school’s tradition of success and academic excellence.
