Calhoun County Athletic Mission Statement
Calhoun County High School offers eleven sports and a wide variety of extracurricular clubs and activities. The football team earned its six consecutive berths to the playoffs in the Class A Division. A high percentage of young men have been offered football scholarships. The boys' basketball team brought home its ninth state championship trophy in 2015. In 2010 soccer was added to the athletic offerings. In 2013 the team played for a lower state championship. The Saints Baseball and Softball teams competed for a district championship in 2016. A CCHS junior won the state championship in the high jump in the spring of 2016. Sportsmanship and academic accomplishment are top priorities for the programs which also strive to address the interests and needs of all ethnic groups and programs encourage diversity.
