Bio
Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Scott was born and raised in Lone Star,
South Carolina. In 1991, he graduated from the Claflin University with
a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health, and
was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Transportation Corps
at South Carolina State University in May 1990. Lieutenant Colonel
Anthony Scott obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Rehabilitation
Counseling from South Carolina State University in 1995.
Lieutenant Colonel Scott’s military education includes the Army
Transportation Corps Basic & Advanced Courses, Unit Movement
Officer Course, Army Mobilization Planners Course, Standardized
Property Book System -Redesigned Course, Army Combined Arms Services Staff School and
Intermediate Level Education-CC (formerly Command and General Staff College).

Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (with four Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters), Army
Achievement Medal (with one Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Reserve Component Achievement
Medal (with four Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters), National Defense Service Medal (with one Bronze
Service Star), Armed Forces Reserve Medal (with Silver Hour Glass, “M” Device and “3” Device),
Afghan Campaign Medal (with one Bronze Service Star), Iraq Campaign Medal, (with two Bronze
Service Stars), Armed Forces Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO
Medal (with one Bronze Service Star), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on

LTC Scott is married to the former Annie LaShanda Curry of Saint Matthews, South Carolina. The
Scotts have two sons, Antwaun 31 and Ahkeem 27.
LTC Scott officially retired at Fort Jackson, S.C on June 1, 2016, after 31 years of military service, and is
currently employed as Senior Army Instructor at Calhoun County High School in Saint Matthews, S.C. as
of August 1, 2019.
