I was born in the town of Greer, South Carolina. I attended Blue Ridge High School in Greenville County. From there I joined the US Army as a combat engineer, and completed one tour of duty in Afghanistant in 2006. I completed my active duty time, and attended Clemson Univeristy from 2006-2009. I married Caroline Smoak, and moved to St. Matthews in 2010. We are expecting our 3rd child in January of 2018. I am in my 4th year here at Calhoun County High School where I am the JAG specialist, and the district Athletic Director.
