I have been employed in the Calhoun County School District as a teacher at the Calhoun County High School for over 25 years. I have taught Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Science, and currently teach the Project Lead the Way pre-engineering curriculum.“As an individual, I have come to know that I have learned many things by doing. So as a teacher, I try to provide students with as many opportunities to have authentic learning experiences. I serve as the coach for the Calhoun County High School's Robotics and Trebuchet teams. Students in my classes are actively engaged through activity based and project based learning experiences that encourage them to use the design process to solve problems.” Mr. Fersner believes that Everyone has Purpose, Everyone Deserves Respect, Everyone is Significant and Everyone is Gifted.
