I am a native of South Carolina, born and raised in Columbia,SC. I am the Director of Bands in Calhoun County Public Schools (2012-present) where I teach at St. Matthews K-8 School and Calhoun County High School. As the Director of Bands, I direct the Marching Saints, the Saints Concert Band, the Calhoun County Honor Band, and various Middle School Ensembles.  Prior to my arrival in Calhoun County, I was an Assistant Band Director at Columbia High School (2010-2012) in Columbia, SC. I am an active member of NAfME including the South Carolina Music Educators Association (SCMEA) and the SC Band Directors Association (SCBDA). I also serve on the Solo and Ensemble committee within the (SCBDA). I graduated from Claflin University (Orangeburg, SC) in 2010 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Music Education. My strong passion for education led me to Graduate School at Columbia College (Columbia, SC), where I earned a Master's in Divergent Learnering to better teach my content in public education. As I continue through life as a musician, I continue to put God first, because I believe through him all things are possible.
