At 6’4” and 315 pounds, Markest Davenport commands attention in the trenches for Calhoun County High School. Playing both left tackle and defensive tackle, he combines power, balance, and technical skill to dominate on both sides of the ball. His presence on the line is a major reason for his team’s success — protecting the quarterback, opening running lanes, and disrupting opponents’ offenses with consistency.

After School Tutoring
After School Tutoring

We’re excited to offer after-school tutoring on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30–5:00 p.m. at Calhoun County High School. After school tutoring is designed to provide students with extra academic support, help them with homework, and strengthen their skills in various subjects.

Join Claflin University's Upward Bound Program Now

Sophomores and Juniors can aaply now to join Claflin University's Upward Bound Program. Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their pre-college performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits.
