Clubs and Organizations
Every student at Calhoun County High School has an opportunity to participate in a club activity. Clubs meet during advisement and at other times scheduled by the advisor.
Students who are nominated and agree to participate are members of the Beta Club.
BROTHERS OF DISTINCTION
Ms. Sullivan, Mrs. Stephens, Mrs. Scott, Ms. Rivers
This is an organization oriented toward helping young men of high school age to grow and develop their leadership talents in every phase of human endeavor. This club is open to male students who have a 2.7 or better GPA and who complete induction requirements.
Mr. Bala, Mr. Nair
Students will compete in Chess tournaments. (20 members)
CREATIONS FOR INSPIRATION (CFI)
Mr. Fersner, Mr. Fordham
This student group is for promotion of positive expressions of art through poetry, songwriting, musicianship, the spoken word, speeches and rap etc. All students are encouraged to develop their gift for public performances designed to inspire and encourage others to embrace cultural diversity that promotes a positive message that supports a positive lifestyle.
This is a national association of marketing education students providing members with educational and leadership development activities to merge with the classroom instructional program. Students must be currently enrolled or previously taken a marketing
class. Dues are $16 and must be paid by October 5, 2015.

A club for future business leaders of America. Open to men and women.
FCS Fellowship of Christian Students

This is a voluntary organization involving students who profess to be Christians.
FRIENDS OF THE EARTH
Friends of Earth is geared to increasing campus involvement and awareness of the issues that are concerning the environment,
resulting in conversation and service to the community. Limited to 30 members.
Students will bring their own games to share and may create games of their own.
Mrs. King, Ms. Davenport
This group is committed to opening a world of possibilities for girls. Our mission is to build positive self-esteem in order to empower
girls to reach their full potential. This movement will be one in which girls can build the mindset and use the tools to take action and
inspire each other. The girls should understand that application of the strength of the female spirit and the power of education can
change the world.

Students will compete in intramural sports. Limited to 40 members.
JAG CAREER ASSOCIATION
This is a student leadership club. Students will develop leadership and team building skills. The club is open to anyone and is limited
to 30 students.
This is an organization oriented toward helping young men of high school age to grow and develop their leadership talents in every phase of human endeavor.
The purpose of the math club is to encourage and promote different studies of math through hands on activities.
This club will further develop the interests and understanding different cultures, its people, and its countries; to incorporate the
cultural and communicative aspects of the cultures curriculum into activities that will promote awareness and interest in
language, life, and culture.

This is a club where students solve all kinds of puzzles using paper, smart board, etc. Lots of fun!!!

SAINTS BATTALION COLOR GUARD AND DRILL TEAM
Major. O’Neal, First Sgt Jackson
The JROTC color guard and drill teams perform individual, squad, and platoon drill movements with and without weapons. You must
be a current member of JROTC or have permission from the instructors.

The purpose of the Science Club is to encourage and promote different studies of science through hands on activities.

Student Council members will represent the interests of the entire student body of CCHS; to become involved in school and community service activities. (Members must meet candidate qualifications and are elected by the student body.)
